Ochsner partnered with the LSU School of Medicine to build the Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – Academic Medical Center. Ochsner Surgery offers the latest laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques to deliver the highest quality surgery. Ochsner LSU is the first trauma center in Louisiana to be recognized by the Louisiana Emergency Response Network and is the only Level I trauma center in the state.

WIELAND’s renovations to the surgical center drastically improved the Ochsner Hospital in Shreveport. Included in the renovation were updated patient rooms, new waiting areas, enhancements to the elevator systems, increased parking lots, and space for top-line equipment. WIELAND worked with the Louisiana-based architectural firm Washer Hill Lipscomb Cabaniss, LLC (WHLC) to renovate and add an additional 40,000 SF to the existing campus.
