Gestamp is an international automotive stamping company with a presence in over 20 countries. Gestamp specializes in designing automotive components that create safer and lighter vehicles to reduce energy consumption and its ecological impact. Major clients include Volkswagen, Renault-Nissan, PSA, Daimler, General Motors, and BMW, among others.  

This is the fourth project in which WIELAND has been contracted to build for Gestamp and is the second of two additions WIELAND has built for the Gestamp in Chattanooga. The project was designed by William A. Kibbe Associates. The plant is fitted with state-of-the-art weld assembly technology and robotics, and can also perform cold stamping, hot stamping, and chassis component stamping. Construction on the project was completed in August 2016.
