Consumers Credit Union (CCU) was founded in 1951 in Kalamazoo, MI, initially serving employees of the Consumers Power Company. Since its founding, CCU has since expanded to anyone in Michigan, offering services like savings accounts, loans, and mortgages. With a focus on their community and member service, CCU has grown to serve over 100,000 members statewide.

In 2023, WIELAND helped facilitate CCU’s expansion into Mid-Michigan by beginning construction on the 2,200 SF Grand River location, just east of Michigan State’s campus. The facility offers amenities like TellerPlus+ Technology, extending the service hours for members across the state, and dedicated loan areas.

WIELAND and A/E firm Bosch Architecture worked collaboratively to accomplish this project. The project commenced in November 2023 and was completed in June 2024.
