  2023 Independence Bowl

  

  WIELAND was proud to serve again as a corporate sponsor for this year’s 47th Annual Radiance Technologies 2023 Independence Bowl. Throughout bowl week, WIELAND’s team was proud to attend and support the week’s events. WIELAND hosted a tailgate on gameday and enjoyed the pre-game festivities before attending the BIG GAME. Thank you to the bowl staff and all the volunteers involved in making this year’s bowl a success!

  Heavy-Load Multimodal Warehouse

  

  WIELAND is proud to share its ongoing progress on the new Heavy-Load Multimodal Warehouse at the Port of Caddo-Bossier. This new 40,000 SF warehouse will add to the 310,000 SF currently leased by Odyssey Logistics, LLC, where it stores products for other tenants. WIELAND began this project in the summer of 2023 and is scheduled to complete construction in the summer of 2024.

  Volunteers of America North Louisiana Sip n’ Serve

  

  WIELAND team members in WIELAND‘s Shreveport office recently attended the Volunteers of America North Louisiana Holiday Sip n’ Serve. The VOA Visionaries Young Professional Group hosted this event. During the event, toys were collected to benefit the VOA’s Youth Behavioral Health children.

  Florida Office Christmas Party

  

  WIELAND‘s Florida office celebrated the holidays on December 7 at the Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse in Orlando. Over 25 employees and/or spouses enjoyed a great evening of food and drink to celebrate WIELAND’s continued success in Central Florida. This was the first of three regional WIELAND Christmas celebrations.

  Shreveport Club

  

  In 1945, the Shreveport Club was founded by a group of businessmen to create Shreveport’s own social club. Nine years later the club moved to its current location on 410 Travis in downtown Shreveport, where to this day, it has maintained the tradition of serving guests in a comfortable yet sophisticated environment. This month, WIELAND is proud to begin the renovation of the 2,600 SF Club to add additional dining and bar space. The renovation was completed in 2024 and will be another elegant attraction for the Northwest LA landmark. #WIELANDbuilds

  United Facilities – Gills Drive

  

  #TBT: In January 2022, WIELAND completed the 78,750 SF United Facilities on Gills Drive in Orlando, FL. United Facilities provides warehousing, logistics, and distribution services for all types of organizations that require third-party logistics. WIELAND is proud to have maintained a relationship spanning 30+ years with United Facilities and has completed dozens of projects for them.

  Consumers Credit Union

  

  WIELAND was proud to join Consumers Credit Union on November 7, for its groundbreaking ceremony of two new office buildings, one in Lansing Township and the other in East Lansing. Both locations will offer full in-person financial support, while also featuring Consumers’ innovative TellerPlus+ technology that allows for extended hours to assist members’ needs. Additionally, both offices provide members with a free coffee bar, wireless banking stations, and private loan and member service areas. The 2,217 SF offices were designed by the Kalamazoo-based Bosch Architecture. #WIELANDbuilds

  Keystone Church

  

  #TBT: In August 2021, WIELAND began work on the renovation and expansion of Keystone Church in Saline, Michigan.  Founded in 1991, the church has grown into a community of 2,000 members and 700 weekly attendees. Keystone experienced overcapacity in its services due to the growth over the past several years leading to the need for expansion. The 2,430 SF expansion combined with the renovation, included educational rooms, increased lobby area, and additional parking spaces. Jeffrey Parker Architects designed the expansion for Keystone and WIELAND completed the project in March 2022.

  Maureen Devota’s 30th Anniversary

  

  WIELAND would like to congratulate Maureen Devota this week as she completed her 30th year of service at WIELAND. Maureen joined WIELAND on November 4, 1993, after attending Ferris State University, and graduating with a degree in accounting.  She began her WIELAND career as a controller, and today serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Maureen is currently one of four employees at WIELAND with 30 or more years of service. WIELAND would like to thank and congratulate Maureen on this career milestone!
