Wieland participates in many conferences to spread the word about its construction services. This week, Senior Business Development Manager Steve Opper (far left) is hosting Wieland’s exhibit at the Michigan Association of Physical Plant Administrators (MiAPPA) winter meetings at Oakland University (MI). MiAPPA is the association for university and college facility managers.
Wieland recently received final photos of the M-North apartment complex in Orlando, FL. Production concluded on this 310,000 SF, 288-unit project in December of 2015.
Wieland continues to lead the site development, clearing and grading at Camp Forbing in Shreveport, Louisiana. Camp Forbing will be a new retail development, anchored by an 110,000 SF Kroger store and other retail stores. This 40-acre project is set for completion in March of 2016.
Wieland continues construction on the Jackson National recreation center and pavilion in Lansing, MI. This project will include a soccer field as well as a basketball court for Jackson employees. Completion is set for the end of 2015.
WDC is in the middle stages of construction on the AFS Logistics headquarters in Shreveport, LA. This 51,000 SF project will include 2.5 stories of Class-A office space and is set for completion in July 2016.
Wieland-Davco continues construction on Prestige Cadillac in Warren, MI. This 32,932 SF new auto dealership will house the highest quality new and used vehicles. The project started in late August and is set for completion in April 2016.
WDC has always been heavily involved in the multi-family/hospitality construction sector. The Grand Cyprus conference center located in Orlando, FL is a fantastic example of multi-family excellence. Project highlights include: 15 multi-unit villas; 360 keyed rooms; and, a 160,000 SF meeting center. Wieland plans to complete this project in late 2016.
Wieland-Davco is in the final phases of construction on the Jackson National Life tenant improvement project in Franklin, Tennessee. This 30,000 SF build-out is set for completion this month. The project is one of three Wieland is currently doing for the Lansing-based Jackson National Life.
WDC recently broke ground on the Gestamp project in Chattanooga, TN. Gestamp is a Spanish company that will be supplying automotive parts for Volkswagen. Wieland will oversee two Gestamp projects in the upcoming years and will assist with major expansion plans. The overall size of the build will be 270,000 SF and is set for completion in August of 2016.
Four months after sustaining unfortunate tornado damage, the First Baptist Church in Portland, MI is reopening its doors! Wieland-Davco has been instrumental in the restoration process and will have continued oversight of the project through the Fall.

On Wednesday, Wieland-Davco took part in the grand opening ceremony for the new MISA Metal Processing plant in Forest, Mississippi. WDC completed this 60,000 SF project in July of this year. Wieland-Davco recently received final photos of the Lansing Catholic Chapel project. Highlights included chapel and storage additions as well as overall exterior and interior renovations. Construction was finalized in March 2015.
