On Tuesday, April 19th WIELAND participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Spartan Motors manufacturing plant in Charlotte, MI. The 85,000-square-foot facility will manufacture and assemble diesel delivery trucks. Pictured are the Isuzu and Spartan Motors executive teams. Wieland has been working with Spartan Motors for over 25 years, developing multiple facilities on Spartan’s Charlotte (MI) campus and other locations in the United States.
WIELAND recently completed the 6,800 SF GreenStone Farm Credit Services branch in Ann Arbor, MI. This was the seventh project that WIELAND has completed for GreenStone, a company that exemplifies WIELANDS’s goal of “… serving lifelong clients.”
WIELAND HAS THE FASTEST CEO! At last week’s Orlando Corporate 5k (April 5th), WIELAND CEO Rob Krueger won the fastest CEO competition, with a time of 20:40. The Orlando Corporate 5k is made up of over 18,000 runners and walkers from over 700 companies and non-profit organization
Wieland is the early stages of construction on the 57,000 SF YMCA building in Shreveport, LA. This project will include a new multi-purpose fitness center, a natural science education facility and a 50-meter Olympic size swimming pool. Target completion for this build is October, 2016.
On Thursday, March 31 Pratt Paper International celebrated the opening of its new $260 million recycling mill in Valparaiso, Indiana. Dozens of dignitaries were in attendance including Pratt CEO Anthony Pratt, and Indiana Governor Mike Pence. Pictured are Wieland President Craig Wieland and Vice President Ryan Roberts with Governor Pence (center). This is the second plant that Wieland has built for Pratt Paper.

Wieland is preparing to break ground on the new Lansing Catholic High School athletic field. The project will feature a synthetic turf football field, an eight-lane track and 1,000 bleacher seats. Wieland Builds…and Wieland Leads! On March 9th, Wieland hosted a live seminar in Texarkana, TX with community economic development leaders from around Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. Attendees learned ways to attract businesses to their respective communities. Wieland enjoys fostering collaboration between public and private sector entities.
Wieland is an American company that also serves an international client base. For example, Wieland’s list of international clients currently includes Gestamp & Rio Ammunition (both Spanish companies) as well as Dicastal (a Chinese automotive manufacturer). Wieland has completed projects for German, French, Japanese and Canadian companies as well.
Last month Wieland celebrated the opening of the new sales Center for VistaBlue Singer Island Condos in West Palm Beach, FL. Wieland is constructing this 19-story tower on the Atlantic Ocean, which will feature 58 private residences. Wieland is pleased to announce it was awarded the Special Use Development of the Year award last evening at the NAIOP Awards ceremony in Orlando, FL. Wieland was recognized for its outstanding work on the Voxx International Headquarters facility, where it acted as the construction manager. NAIOP is the trade industry for industrial developers and operators in North America.
Wieland is excited to become one of the first users in Michigan of Procore, the best in class construction software in America. Earlier this month, eight Wieland employees visited Procore’s headquarters while attending the Procore conference in Santa Barbara, CA.
