Lansing officials and leaders joined WIELAND to break ground on the future home of Beacon Soccer Field in Lansing, MI. This will be the second Beacon Soccer Field completed by WIELAND in the Lansing Area. The soccer field provides a safe and high-quality space for the community to come together. WIELAND is excited to serve another repeat client through excellence in construction.

East County Performing Arts Center
WIELAND was recently hired to work on the renovations of East County Performing Arts Center outside of San Diego, CA. The updated theater will bring back a lively focal point for the community after being vacant for nearly 10 years. The city is partnering with Live Nation Entertainment on a $6 million renovation that will transform the inside of the venue. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2019.

WIELAND is excited to share the completion of Irvine United Congregational Church in Irvine, CA. The project includes a 2,550 SF addition as well as renovations to the existing facility. IUCC held its grand opening this past September.

October 4, 2018Oliver Towers
In 2000, a fire destroyed the internal shell of the Oliver Towers apartments in Lansing, MI, leaving the building vacant for nearly 20 years. This year, WIELAND is slated to begin construction on a $12 million renovation. The new 8-story building will feature retail space and 94 apartments. WIELAND is excited to work on the project for Michigan-based EYDE Company.

WIELAND recently took part in the groundbreaking event at the future home of SET SEG – a non-profit school insurance company. The 32,000 SF project is located in East Lansing, MI and is expected to be completed in August 2019. WIELAND is excited to begin construction on the new project!

WIELAND is hard at work for long-time client, United Facilities in Tracy, CA. United Facilities is a third-party logistics provider in the food industry. Construction began in June 2018 on a 133,700 SF warehouse addition and is expected to be completed in December 2018.

WIELAND has completed upgrades to The Capital Area Humane Society of Lansing – a $1.9 million expansion and renovation project. WIELAND’s work included many interior improvements and added 5,400 SF to hold and train more animals.

Auto-Owners Insurance, Mayotte Group Architects, and WIELAND – all companies headquartered in Lansing, MI – combined resources to complete the 30,000 SF Class A building late in 2016. Auto-Owners Insurance is a Fortune 500 company with regional locations throughout the US. The new Lake Elmo office will serve as the company’s Minnesota regional office. This was WIELAND’s third project for Auto-Owners, and WIELAND’s experience of traveling across state borders to serve an existing client helped WIELAND once again fulfill its mission of “finding and serving lifelong clients…”

This past Spring, WIELAND completed the new $17.5M YMCA facility in Shreveport, LA. The project has a state-of-the-art Olympic swimming pool, basketball courts, and exercise and weight room. The facility sits on roughly 150 acres that will include future baseball fields and a nature station with trails and a lake. “This has been incredible,” said YMCA of North Louisiana CEO Gary Lash. “I’ve been blessed to be a part of this project. It’s something beyond my wildest dreams.”

Willoughby Estates is a multifamily development in Holt, MI. The Clubhouse/Leasing Center and first four buildings are now ready for residents, with more buildings coming available through March 2018 as construction completes. WIELAND is excited to be a part of this anxiously awaited complex.

WIELAND and Gillespie Group have undertaken an extreme 72 hour makeover of the Unicorn Tavern in Old Town, Lansing. From Jun 20-23, the dive bar underwent renovation. The makeover included major changes to the front of the building, as well as refreshing changes to the interior. The Unicorn Lounge is now open for business, and will carry on its long-standing traditions with a new lively twist.

October 27, 2016Mason First Presbyterian Church
WIELAND has a long history working with churches. However, not all church projects require NEW construction, which was the case for the historic Mason First Presbyterian Church in Mason, MI. On Sunday, October 23 WIELAND’s team was on hand for the ribbon-cutting following a $1.4M project which included installing an elevator, new heating and cooling units, new landscaping and addressing handicap-accessibility issues. Mason First Presbyterian Church was built in 1900, and WIELAND is proud to help the church to serve the community in its next 100 years.
