WIELAND and its valued subcontractor Jelsema Concrete got an early start on July 3rd when they started a 250 cubic yard concrete pour at 1am in Lansing, MI. The project started in April 2019 and is expected to be completed in Winter 2020. #WIELANDBuilds #ExcellenceInConstruction
WIELAND is excited to announce that it ranked #319 on the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 400 list for 2019. ENR annually publishes the list of America’s top contractors based on annual volume. WIELAND first made the list in 2013 and has been on it every year but one since then.
WIELAND participated in the groundbreaking event for Every Man a King Distillery on June 26th in Shreveport, LA. The project will include the renovation of the old Arlington Hotel and a new build, the site will have a distillery, a courtyard, an event space, a restaurant and a “speakeasy”, upon completion. The project is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2020.
WIELAND is currently constructing many multi-family projects, one of them being the CODA apartments in Orlando, FL. The facility has many resident amenities, from a space for activities like ping pong and shuffle board, to a separate space for yoga classes and lounge seating. The project began in December of 2017 and will end in August 2019.
WIELAND currently has two projects for first-time client Leon Capital Group in North Carolina. The developments are Hillstone Chapel Hill and Hillstone at Alston Town Center, they are both multi-family facilities. Hillstone Chapel Hill has 328 units and is expected to be completed in March 2020.
WIELAND is nearing completion on The Fountains at Northpoint in Lutz, FL, a 22-acre multi-family development featuring 252 apartment units, a swimming pool and numerous other amenities. The project is expected to be completed by July, 2019. The Fountains at Northpoint is another collaboration between WIELAND and repeat-client Pollack Shores Real Estate of Atlanta.
WIELAND is excited to announce it has been selected for the renovation of the historic Arlington Hotel in downtown Shreveport, LA. Partnering with Kevin Bryan Architects, WIELAND will transform the shuttered building into the “Every Man A King Distillery.” The Arlington Hotel was built in 1913 but has been vacant since the 1990s. The new space will feature a distillery operation, an outdoor patio, and a tasting room. For more information check out the link below.

WIELAND is currently working for repeat-client Little River Band of Ottawa Indians on a 12,315 SF Elder Housing Facility in Manistee, MI. The facility will have a total of 10 bedrooms all featuring their own walk out patio. The new build is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2019.
This month WIELAND began tenant improvements on retail stores at Parkway Plaza in Norman, OK. Working for Texas-based Woodmont Company, the project will consist of a Party City, Bed Bath and Beyond, and World Market. The project is a 57,000 SF existing shell, and construction is expected to be completed in late 2019.
WIELAND expects to complete New Hope Church’s new facility in East Lansing, MI this summer. This spacious, 29,270 SF facility includes a 600 seat-sanctuary, classrooms and additional office space. New Hope’s current facility is in Haslett, MI, and the new church structure will allow for more attendees and additional outreach.
WIELAND is excited to be working with first-time client Bruckner’s Truck Sales in Shreveport, LA. The new build is a 48,000 SF truck dealership with a mechanical shop, parts warehouse and sales office. Construction is set to be completed in Summer 2019.
This week WIELAND welcomed 15 new summer interns to its offices across the country. Interns at WIELAND now receive a full on-boarding experience to make their time at WIELAND even more meaningful and professional. The on-boarding process helps new employees feel welcome and informed so they can hit the ground running.
WIELAND is currently working for Michigan-based INNOVO Development on Breakwater, an 80,000 SF project in Traverse City, MI. The multi-family project will include four stories of residential living units and retail space in one of Northern Michigan’s most upscale communities. Breakwater is set to be completed in Spring 2020.
WIELAND is a leader in the construction of multi-family developments east of the Mississippi. Cardinal Newman Apartments in Columbia, SC is a new, $46 million multi-family project under construction. The complex will include over 250 units, 43,000 SF of retail space and a 5-story parking garage. WIELAND expects to complete construction on Cardinal Newman in February, 2020.
Construction continues on East County Performing Arts Center in El Cajon, CA. WIELAND is completing a $7 million renovation to be the exclusive venue for Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest concert promoter. The venue will be presenting 40-50 performances per year upon opening in Summer 2019.
