    Graphic Packaging International

    WIELAND started its largest project ever in September 2019 for Graphic Packaging International (GPI) in Kalamazoo, MI. GPI creates innovative packaging products in their more than 90 facilities globally. The development consists of four buildings totaling 350,000 SF. The four buildings include a mill, a corrugated container storage area, a boiler house and a finished goods warehouse. WIELAND has become a national leader in Pulp and Paper mill projects, as this is its fourth such project. The project is expected to be completed in October 2021.

    Breakwater

    WIELAND is taking on the northern Michigan winter working on the Breakwater mixed-use development in Traverse City, MI. The project consists of three retail/restaurant spaces, 78 residential units, and a large parking structure. The overall structure, including the finished residential portion, was substantially completed in November 2020. However, a patio addition and tenant improvements in the commercial space will continue through February 2021.

    Sparrow- Portland

    WIELAND started an important health care project in the Greater Lansing community in 4Q of 2020 and is thrilled to be doing its first project for Sparrow Health Systems. Sparrow is Mid-Michigan’s largest healthcare organization with a variety of facilities across the region. The project will total 11,500 SF and was designed by Grand-Rapids-based Progressive AE Architects. The development began September 2020 and is expected to be completed May 2021.

    Grand Cypress

    WIELAND is hard at work on the Grand Cypress multi-family project in Tampa, FL. The project consists of nine buildings, one clubhouse and ten garages. There is a total of 324 apartment units within 358,000 SF. The project began August 2020 and is expected to be completed February 2022.

    Dean Road Apartments

    WIELAND is enjoying the warm weather working on the Dean Road Apartments multi-family project in Orlando, FL. The development consists of nine buildings and eight garages with 228 apartment units. Within the project’s 238,700 SF there is a clubhouse, pool, carwash and dog park. The new build began in March 2020 and is expected to be completed October 2021.

    Mosaic at Oak Creek

    WIELAND is proud to announce the completion of the Mosaic at Oak Creek project in Bonita Springs, FL. The development is a multi-family garden style project consisting of a clubhouse, ten residential buildings and one mixed use building. Within these buildings there are 273 apartment units and a total of 137,725 SF. The project began July 2018 and was officially completed Summer 2020.

    Bekum

    WIELAND recently broke ground at Bekum, a plastic blow-molding company with facilities in the US, Germany and Austria, on its new project in Williamston, MI. The development is an expansion to the existing manufacturing facility. The addition will total 40,000 SF and was designed by C2AE Architects. The project began in August, 2020 and is expected to be completed in May, 2021.

    Daniel Sprague

    WIELAND is happy to announce that Daniel Sprague, a business development manager in WIELAND’s Michigan headquarters for the past three years, has recently relocated to become the new Business Development Manager in WIELAND’s Orlando office. Daniel will replace the recently-retired Sandy Winkler-Ehmer, who held the position since 2015. Daniel stated, “I am excited to come to Central Florida and build on the great foundation Sandy laid, and I hope to bring the same level of visibility and professionalism she did. WIELAND has a well-established office and I’m thrilled to join the team and get involved in this dynamic market.”

    Breakwater

    WIELAND is enjoying the fall colors while working in Traverse City, MI on the Breakwater mixed-use development project. The project consists of three retail/restaurant spaces totaling 27,700 SF, 78 apartment units totaling 69,300 SF and a parking structure totaling 21,100 SF. The project is located downtown on the Boardman River with views of the Grand Traverse Bay. Construction began August 2018 and is expected to be completed by November 2020.

    Graphic Packaging International

    WIELAND continues work on one of the largest projects in company history with the Graphic Packaging International (GPI) mill in Kalamazoo, MI. The development is a total of 350,000 SF consisting of four buildings. Within these four buildings is a mill; a corrugated container storage area; a boiler house; and a finished goods warehouse. The project began in September, 2019 and is expected to be completed in October, 2021. WIELAND is a leader in the Pulp and Paper sector, having completed three of the last four mills built in the United States.

    EDKO

    WIELAND is continuing construction on the EDKO warehouse and office project in Bossier City, LA. The new build consists of a 10,000 SF warehouse, 6,000 SF office building and a 5,000 covered parking lot. The project began March 2020 and is expected to be completed in October 2020.

    Volaris

    WIELAND is advancing well on the Volaris multi-family project. The development is strategically located off of US 127, just minutes from downtown Lansing and less than a mile from the new McLaren Hospital, which is also under construction.  Volaris consists of four, 4-story buildings totaling 289 apartment units.     EDKO

    WIELAND has been hard at work through the COVID-19 pandemic and even beginning new projects. One of these developments is the EDKO warehouse and office project in Bossier City, LA. The new build is made up of a warehouse (10,000 SF), office building (6,000 SF) and a covered parking lot (5,000 SF).
