Graphic Packaging International, LLC (GPI) produces paper-based products for a variety of products including cups, cartons, boxes and other food containers. GPI operates globally and is one of the largest producers of folding cartons and paper-based foodservice products in the United States. The company is also a global leader in manufacturing unbleached kraft paperboard and solid bleached sulfate paperboard.

WIELAND worked with AFRY Engineering to design and construct this 300,000 SF facility. The plant contains a four-story paper machine, referred to as K2, which will produce over 1,400 tons of the highest quality recycled paperboard per day. K2 is a coated recycle board machine (CRB) that will produce high quality paperboard with the lowest caliper-capabilities in North America.

WIELAND broke ground on the Graphic Packaging project in late September 2019 and completed construction in October 2021.
