Willoughby Estates is located in Holt, MI, on the former site of the Cheney Concrete and Decore products. The site was littered with bricks and environmental waste left behind by earlier companies. As a result, Dehli Township approved a brownfield reimbursement to help with environmental cleanup and the site was officially deemed good for construction in 2015. 

The complex was designed by The Peabody Group, an architecture firm headquartered in Mason, MI, and WIELAND began construction in fall 2016. Willougby Estates consists of 269 units, which will accommodate 450 residents, spread across four different types of housing: three-story apartment buildings, two-story townhomes, duplexes, and single-family cottages. WIELAND completed the project in January 2018.
