Meridian Township’s Fire Department serves a community of 43,318 citizens over 32 square miles. MTFD is a full-service organization offering fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. The station was founded in 1957 as the Central Fire Station and was later renamed the Meridian Township Services Center in 2014.
“We faced several significant hurdles in the beginning, but with (WIELAND’s) assistance we were able to create a great looking building that will serve us well into the future,” stated Meridian Township Manager, Frank L. Walsh, “Major construction projects often develop difficult problems that need creative problem solving, and we appreciate the professionalism and the “can-do” attitude that (WIELAND) exhibited throughout the process.”
DLZ Architects designed the 10,825 SF municipal building, and WIELAND completed construction in December 2015.
