United Facilities – United Way

Founded in 1953 by brothers H.D. and A.W. Altorfer, United Facilities, Inc. began with purchasing a 125,000 SF warehouse and a vision for innovative logistics solutions. The Altorfers quickly recognized the value of integrating inventory and direct shipping to customers, which led to one of the first multiyear warehouse contracts in the nation. This pioneering approach laid the foundation for United Facilities, now a leader in warehousing, logistics, and distribution services.

Over the past 30+ years, WIELAND has built a strong partnership with United Facilities, collaborating on various projects, and supporting their growth in the supply chain industry. The United Way facility in Orlando, FL, is a 69,000 SF tilt wall warehouse designed by C4 Architecture and completed by WIELAND in July 2021. This facility was the first of two projects that WIELAND completed for United Facilities between 2021 and 2022.
