WIELAND, an ENR Top-400 Construction Management firm, is seeking a junior, senior or post-graduate student to assist in promoting its accomplishments and the accomplishments of its talented employees via social media.  This is a part-time position that can provide a career launch in the field of advertising, journalism or public relations.

Job Functions

Job Description:  The Social Media Coordinator (SMC) will strategically promote WIELAND’s brand by positioning WIELAND and its employees on five primary platforms:  Facebook; LinkedIn; Twitter; Instagram; and YouTube.   The SMC will seek stories, write copy, and compile photographs and video to be packaged on all social media platforms. The SMC will be a direct report to the Vice-President of Marketing.  He or she may also interact with the company President, Managing Director, Marketing Team, Business Development Staff and Operations Staff.


Qualifications: Candidates should have at least junior or senior-class status by fall semester, 2021 with preference given to those pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, or Marketing. Candidates must have outstanding writing skills and the ability to produce compelling copy.   Must have familiarity with the five targeted social media platforms. Additional skills, such as video production, or utilizing technology for PR campaigns (such as blogging and search engine optimization strategies) would be desired.
