Wieland’s Business Development Managers are an effective business partner who understands the business goals, and client management. Wieland’s structure provides this immediate opportunity, coupled with guidance and leadership of upper management. Wieland’s Business Development Managers are integral in the growth of the company by truly applying one of Wieland’s core values, outworking the competition.

Position Summary

This well-organized, motivated individual will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, sales presentations and proposal writing. This role requires  proactive identification and consistent contact with prospects and existing clients. The primary focus will be Central Florida, with secondary attention paid to Greater Tampa.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to identify and qualify prospects that align with Wieland’s desired market sectors
  • Capability to successfully sell the construction projects within targeted profit margins
  • Evaluate future opportunities with prospects that offers Wieland the ability to secure repeat work
  • Consistently generate a healthy pipeline of high-quality prospects through cold calling, and sourcing through publications, market trends, and networking opportunities
  • Develop and maintain market campaigns for new market sectors
  • Maintain CRM database with accurate client information and tracking of opportunities
  • Prepare qualification statements in order to advance the company in the sales process
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals and manage the necessary content required from other departments
  • Prepare interview material and coordinate with proposed project team members for an interview with a prospective client
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Shareholders, Preconstruction team, and Operations teams by providing support and insight to potential opportunities
  • Research, coordinate and attend trade shows for various market sectors
  • Flexibility for short term travel

 

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience in business marketing, communications, or related field.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Prezi, and CRM software with an acceptance of learning new and emerging software. Experience utilizing metrics to measure and evaluate results. Must have the ability to coordinate numerous activities and works well under pressure.

Qualifications

Reports to VP of Marketing, and Florida VP & Regional Director to execute the annual marketing plan, fulfill sales goals, and assist in all marketing and sales efforts. Works closely with Operations staff and Preconstruction and interacts with company President, CEO and Shareholders to facilitate corporate relations.
